Rumour: The PS3-mote?

The Playstation 3’s SixAxis controller is widely regarded as a rushed failure attempt to cash in on Nintendo’s motion-based Wii remote.

Rumour: BioShock for PS3?

Somewhere, under the sea
Bioshock for the Playstation Threee…
Uh…
It’s just a rumour at this point, but what a rumour. Bioshock has long been considered one of the Xbox 360’s killer apps. A Playstation 3 version of the game would likely include improved visuals (not as if Rapture is a dump to begin with—well, except for Apollo […]

Scary Sony Penis Ad

Oh dear, fandom. What have you done now.
Gizmondo has posted the Most Horrifying Playstation 3 Ad Ever” (not safe for work, not safe for work, not safe…). For the sake of the many male gamers who were scarred today, I’m not about to refute the claim.
If you’re frightened of the link, I’ll spoil the scare […]

Will MMORPGs Sell the PS3?

John Smedley, the President of Sony Online Entertainment, believes that the Playstation 3 will soon be the go-to console for MMORPGs.
There’s only one hitch in his ambitious observation: Nobody really goes to consoles for MMORPGs. That sweet, addictive plum still belongs to PCs.
Regardless, Smedley is hopeful. From a Q&A with the Seattle Times:
“I think MMOs […]

Valve Is “Not PS3 Developers.”

It’s probably not a big surprise to learn that Valve isn’t hip with the Playstation 3. Anyone who played EA’s port of The Orange Box can deduce as much. But speculation is best fortified with, like, quotes and stuff, so here’s Kombo’s story on the matter.
In an interview with CVG, Doug Lombardi noteth:
“We’re not […]
