Rumour: Fight at Squeenix, Wada Breaks Out Ultima

Oh, if only office politics were that exciting.
Rumours of a “fierce meeting” at Square-Enix are circulating via Kotaku. Square-Enix president Yōichi Wada is worried that his company’s games are becoming “too insular,” thus shutting out the mainstream audience they’ve worked so hard to garner.
If this is true, there will likely be some interesting goings-on at Squeenix in the months to follow. More information will be posted as events transpire.
If this is not true, we can all go back to playing stickball and I’ll bake everyone some nice cookies.

As much as I love snickerdoodles, I hope something happens at Square Enix. I’m looking forward to Square Enix 2: The Shake-Uppening.

Yeah, I’m curious to see if this is more than a rumour. Everyone needs a shake-uppening once in a while.
