No Street Fighter HD demo for PSN

Can’t wait for the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix demo? Sorry, Charlie. You allied yourself with the wrong system (and now Bison’s going to shoot you in the back). The SSFIITHDR(!!!) demo will be an Xbox Live exclusive.

Chris Svennson, Capcom’s Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Business Development, provides a lengthy explanation, including:

“In my ideal world of worlds, we would have done a beta on each. That said, the effort and time (not to mention money) that would have taken, if it even could be done, probably would have pushed the project back another few months on our side.”

On the plus side, at least you don’t have to purchase Commando 3 to get the “free” SF demo.

…Not to say anything bad about Commando. It was the only game we had on our Atari 2600 that was worth playing. Except Solaris, of course.

You know what, I think our copy of Commando was actually stolen by some punk who “borrowed” the game and moved away. Having remembered that, I’m in a bad mood now. Thanks, PSMonger.
