Square: In ur con, busting ur swords
Do you love cosplay? Do you love cosplaying Final Fantasy characters?
What’s your major malfunction?
Seriously though, this might be relevant to you: Square-Enix is coming down on retailers that are selling illegal copies of their wares. The bust includes all pirated merchandise, but puts special emphasis on replicas of Buster Swords, Gunblades and other half-ridiculous Final Fantasy weapons.
It’s not to say Square will be busting down your door if you wield a length of pipe labeled as “Atma Weapon” with the aid of a Post-It, but if you’re into designing and selling these weapons en masse…now’s a good time to stop. Otherwise it might soon be Bubba asking you to dress up as Cloud in a dank corner of a cell forsaken by the moonlight.

I’m not sure how much of a deterrant that last paragraph will be. Remember the hot tub scene in the Honeybee Inn? Cloud cosplayers do.
