Download Patch, Brick Your System

Have you suffered a lapse in sanity and are now looking for a way to destroy your Playstation 3? Namco has a treat for you. According to a Silicon Era reader, Time Crisis 4’s new 18mb update might brick your Playstation 3.
“During the FMV, it felt choppy on some parts and took time to load the game. After finish playing the game, i turned off PS3 and later i turned back on. Poped the game disc in, and it gave me the death code and ps3 not recognize any discs.”
Uh-oh Spaghettios. Is this an isolated incident? Sony and Namco probably won’t respond ’til after the New Year, but let’s hope so. I’ve heard the word “brick” used as a descriptor for a dead system way too often since the birth of the new generation consoles.
On a more festive note, Happy New Year, dear Mongler readers. This blog’s first month has been quite a success, and I thank you for your support. I hope to see you in the New Year and beyond, at least until the Machmen revolt and run us humans like rabbits for their own twisted amusement.

I think if a broken system gets to be called a brick, we should call fixed systems “a brac.” That would make me happy. Well, no it wouldn’t. It’d actually eventually get on my nerves.
I disagree with this comment!

Fuck, that blows. Then again, I wouldn’t be caught dead playing a Time Crisis game.
