Sony Has Extensive Billing in 2007’s Blunders
Christmas is over: Back to the important business of judgement and ridicule. Next Generation is hard at work and the site just published their list of the The Top 10 Blunders Of 2007.
Everyone in the industry gets a fair shake (like your mom–Ohh!), though not surprisingly Sony got strapped a bit harder than Microsoft and Nintendo. Up for flogging is the Playstation 3’s hojillion SKUs that no doubt made Christmas shopping hell on clueless grandmas who just wanted to get little Trevor one of those new-fangled Playwagon 3s. In addition, Sony executive Jack Tretton got spanked for refusing to take off those fantasy googles that make it look like the Playstation 3 is selling just as fast as the Wii. He offered a wad of cash to anyone who could find an unsold Playstation 3 languishing on store shelves. That’s a lot of pocket money at stake.
