No Rock Band For Canucks ’til Whenever
Merry Christmas!
Though if you’re Canadian and you were hoping for Rock Band, chances are good that your Christmas sucked the bag. Who cares about good health, togetherness or the birth of mankind’s Saviour when Rock Band is coming to Canada after the warm cheer wears off and everybody is ready to hate themselves and the world again? You can’t form a bitching band with that kind of attitude. Wait, isn’t that kind of attitude actually a prerequisite?
A few lucky Canadians realised their dreams with Ebay, mankind’s hope. Most sulked. Some blame EA’s delay on Canada’s dual language laws (packaging and instruction booklets must be published in both French and English), but a larger, more correct faction of rockers blame EA’s desire to have as many bundles as possible available for the US release.
Some Canucks are understandably irritated at the “delay,” but I guess it makes up for all those years Nintendo deprived customers of hot games because of “chip shortages” that mysteriously didn’t hinder availability in Canadian stores. A few fans have even decided to boycott the game, to which I say LOL, wait until New Year’s Eve when you’re really drunk and searching desperately for a Wal-Mart that’s still open.
But seriously, Don’t Drink and Drive. Do Drink and Rock. Have a hardcore Boxing Day.
