‘Tis the Season for Dance Dance Revolution
The elements are having a pissing contest above us. About five or six inches of snow was dumped last night, and it rained through most of today, turning everything into mush. In a day or two everything’ll freeze, and setting foot outside will be a deadly affair. I normally take long walks as a means of exercise, but it’s time to say screw the great outdoors; let’s roll out Dance Dance Revolution.
I still have a lot to learn about this game series, which has fostered a culture of its own. A friend hooked me up with everything I need to play on thePlaystation 2, since the only version I previously owned was DDR Mario Mix and it was slowly making me go mad. Seriously…how many times can you dance to a remixed “Carmen?”
My friend loaned me DDR Max and DDR Max 2. So far I far prefer DDR Max 2 for its options, song roster and ability to turn off freeze arrows outside of a song-by-song basis. The only song I really like from DDR Max is Ordinary World. I wish I couldteleport it over to DDR Max 2 or something.
DDR is a learning experience, plus a great way to get my ass in shape. I’ll post further musings and achievements as I go along.
